Bradley Named To U.S. Copa América Centenario Squad

Toronto FC midfielder Michael Bradley was named to United States Head Coach Jürgen Klinsmann’s 23-man roster for the 2016 Copa América Centenario tournament.


The U.S. were placed in Group A along with Colombia, Costa Rica and Paraguay. The U.S. open the tournament on Friday, June 3 hosting Colombia at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The U.S. continue play against Costa Rica on Tuesday, June 7 at Soldier Field in Chicago and conclude group play against Paraguay on Saturday, June 11 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pa.


Bradley, 28, has appeared and started in 11 matches, registering one assist for Toronto FC in MLS league play this season. Bradley has earned 113 caps scoring 15 goals for the U.S. throughout his career. His most recent cap came on Tuesday, March 29, in a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Guatemala. Bradley was named the 2015 U.S. Soccer Male Player of the Year on December 22, 2015. It marked the first time he won the award.
