Any match between Canada and USA carries a special significance, but Tuesday’s quarter-final (17.30 local kick-off) between the North American rivals at the 2013 CONCACAF U-20 Championship in Puebla, Mexico promises to be something special.

The Canadian U-20’s will do battle with the Americans in a winner-takes-all match that will determine which side will qualify for the FIFA U-2O World Cup Turkey 2013.

Tuesday’s match will be broadcast in Canada on a Sportsnet platform (details to be confirmed) at 18.30 ET / 15. 30 ET. Fans will also be able to follow live coverage on Twitter: @CanadaSoccerEN; as well as full pre and post-match coverage on CanadaSoccerTV.

“The history with the Canadians and the Americans is that it is always one of the big battles,” said Canada U-20 Head Coach Nick Dasovic after his team’s training session on Sunday 24 February.

“The other part of the rivalry is that Canada is maybe always considered the underdog. That’s not a bad thing and that is something we don’t mind carrying into the game with us.

“We know the Americans well, we played them in Marbella, Spain in October of 2011. We respect them as a country and as a team. It is going to be an interesting match.”
