TOTW Dartmouth Storm

DARTMOUTH, JULY 25, 2012 - BMO Financial Group announced today that the Storm Soccer U-12 ‘C’ Boys from Dartmouth, N.S have claimed a BMO Team of the Week spot for 2012. The Dartmouth Storm is the weekly winner and wins BMO Team of the Week tracksuits, a $500 team prize, a $500 donation to the charity of their choice, plus a community celebration at the local BMO branch.

“The Storm prove that hard work and dedication do, in fact, pay off,” said Storm Soccer U-12 ‘C’ Boys’ Head Coach Sam Tohme. “As a result of their efforts, these boys have a fierce confidence that makes them leaders, which they demonstrate by mentoring younger soccer teams. Thank you, BMO, for recognizing what an incredible group of young men we have on this team!”

With The Storm’s win, 15 teams have now been recognized across Canada for their team pride, spirit, community commitment and passion for the game. The overall 2012 BMO Team of the Week Champion will be selected by Canadians through online voting, which will take place between August 13th and 27th.

“It’s inspiring to see a group that comes together to play soccer but grows into a family and gives back to the community like this team has done,” said Laura Charlton, District Vice-President, Halifax, BMO Bank of Montreal. “Not only did they clean up their community field, but they volunteered at the local soup kitchen by running a food drive. Congratulations to an exemplary squad, the Storm Soccer U-12 ‘C’ Boys.”
