New Trialists

Toronto FC added a pair of trialists to their roster on Tuesday, the team’s first day of training in Florida where they’ll take part in Disney’s Pro Soccer Classic starting February 25 against Orlando City.

The trialists are midfielders Kevin Huezo and Moises Orozco. Both players were part of the United States under-20 team which was then coached by new TFC Academy director Thomas Rongen.

The Reds held one training session on Tuesday but will have to double their efforts Wednesday as the grueling portion of preseason nears with games getting closer.

Toronto is training in Orlando but back home the club’s front office gears up for an exciting new initiative, the TFC Dream Job™.

Anyone looking to become “the next face of TFC” can enter from the Reds’ Facebook page on Wednesday at Noon when the application tab appears. The first portion of the application will require entrants to upload a personal photo and 200-word biography.

Friends and family can vote for the applicants and that will be the sole criteria for five of the 15 finalists. The other 10 will be chosen by a talent search committee. The submission deadline will be March 2 at Noon, after which the finalists will be contacted and given their next assignments on route to a season-long contract that will allow the winner to host home matches, interview players and travel with the team.

On Twitter, fans are encouraged to follow @torontofc and use #TFCDreamJob hashtag to discuss the job posting.
