Week 3: More Cuts Ahead?

Michael Green

Toronto FC players took the weekend to rest, but the Reds are back at training Monday.

On Tuesday, TFC players and coaches will be available for media interviews in Oakville following the week’s second training session at the indoor soccer facility.

This is the third week of training for Toronto. The second week finished with four cuts from the preseason squad. Supplemental draft picks Nick Blake, Mykell Bates, Arthur Ivo and Mike Mazzullo are no longer with the squad.

Toronto will head to Orlando next week for 20 days to continue its preparations for the March 7 & 14 CONCACAF Champions League matches against Los Angeles Galaxy, and the first MLS regular season match three days later in Seattle.

In Orlando, the Reds will take part in the 2012 Walt Disney Pro Soccer Classic, hosted at ESPN Wide World Sports Complex.

More cuts are expected ahead of the Orlando trip, but nothing has been confirmed yet by the club.

2012 Season Seats

With a small amount of tickets left available for March 7 CCL quarterfinals first leg against LA Galaxy at Rogers Centre, TFC is re-focusing on season seats at BMO Field. The Reds have made more tickets available this year than in previous seasons.

The public sale for season seats starts on Tuesday, February 7. The available seats are $589 and up that includes all 17 MLS home matches and two Voyageurs Cup (Canadian championship) games to determine if Toronto will take part in the 2012/13 Champions League.
