Frings Tapped For Future Role

Torsten Frings

It has been reported that Werder Bremen boss Klaus Allofs would like to offer current Toronto FC midfielder Torsten Frings a coaching role once his playing career concludes at BMO Field.

The Toronto designated player is tied to the Reds for another two seasons, as was revealed by head coach and technical director Aron Winter in the introduction of Frings and Danny Koevermans in late June ahead of their official summer signings.

Frings spent six seasons at Werder, playing 164 games for the northwest German club.
