Conway Traded To Chicago

Jon Conway

Toronto FC traded goalkeeper Jon Conway to the Chicago Fire for a third round (49th overall) pick at the 2011 MLS SuperDraft.

Initially Toronto had traded a player to be named later for the late draft choice. On Thursday evening that player was revealed to be Conway.

The 33-year old goalkeeper joined the Reds in 2010 and made just one league appearance, where he was ejected for an altercation with Steven Lenhart of the Columbus Crew.

Toronto used the 49th pick to select Ecuadorian teenager Joao Plata.
