Reds Reach Attendance High
Toronto FC announced Friday that ticket sales for its CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal match against the LA Galaxy at Rogers Centre have passed the 25,000 mark, with more than 75% of the lower bowl sold out. Tickets went on sale exclusively to Toronto FC Season Seat Holders this past Monday and to the general public Friday morning.
The match will mark the first time Toronto FC plays a home game outside of BMO Field and is guaranteed to set a new home attendance record. BMO Field seats 21,140 and Toronto FC’s largest home crowd stands at 22,453, set April 13, 2011 vs. LA Galaxy.

“The response by our fans has been nothing less than amazing but that’s what we would expect from the best fans in MLS,” said Tom Anselmi, Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer, MLSE. “We are thrilled that our fans won’t have to endure what could be unpleasant conditions outdoors in March and the fact that we can provide the opportunity for even more fans to watch this historic match is a great bonus.”
Toronto FC will host LA Galaxy at the Rogers Centre on Wednesday, March 7 in the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinals. Game time is 8 p.m. ET. Toronto will travel to Los Angeles on Wednesday, March 14 for the return leg. For more information, visit www.torontofc.ca.
Ticket pricing begins at $29 for lower bowl seating and $12 for upper bowl seating. More than 70% of the seats at Rogers Centre are priced under $30 for the match. Tickets can be purchased online at Ticketmaster or via telephone at 1-855-985-5000.
