TFC//TWELVE Kicks Off At Sorauren Park
Monday, August 8 marked the start of TFC//TWELVE, where MLSE’s Team Up Foundation and Kia unveiled the refurbished Sorauren Park soccer pitch. The event kicked off the first of 12 consecutive days of community engagement and recognition by Toronto FC.

Improvements to the field included leveling, new sod, four benches, storage locker and upgrades to the goals. After the opening ceremonies the full team joined local youth on the field and took part in a mini clinic. Highlights included coach Winter giving advice to teams during the scrimmage and a Danny Koevermans goal completed by wild celebrations with his teammates.

Many recently acquired players enjoyed the event as it was their first chance to get out in the community and interact with Toronto’s youth. This event showcased Team Up Foundation's refurbishment program and Toronto FC’s commitment to grassroots soccer and community programs.
